Why this and not a photo-and-song video.
We were asked for one where you upload a face and a track. We did not build
that, deliberately:
An uploaded photo may be of someone who never agreed to it.
An uploaded song is almost always somebody's copyright, and hosting it
here would make Ananse the publisher.
A newsroom whose whole argument is we verify things cannot also
run a face-swap toy. The first hard story we publish, that becomes the
reply.
So this makes something from words instead. No uploads, no faces, no
licensing — and it still shares.
