Ananse folktales, African history, documentary and science — chosen one by
one, watchable here without leaving the site, and safe to hand a child.
The selection changes every Monday on its own.
Every title is checked. Nothing here needs a parent in the room.
Loading the shelf…
How this shelf is put together, and why nothing here is pirated.
Only what the owner published. Every title plays from the
uploader's own channel, through their own player, with the view counting
to them. Ananse hosts nothing and re-uploads nothing.
Embedding is verified, not assumed. A video that its owner has
blocked from embedding is not listed at all — a play button that opens
another site is a broken promise, not a feature.
All ages, checked by a person. No violence, no explicit
language, no advertising dressed as a programme. If it would not be
shown in a classroom, it is not here.
It rotates on its own. The shelf is seeded by the ISO week, so
it changes every Monday without anyone touching it — and returns to the
same order for everyone within that week.
