Something we got wrong

[email protected]

Tell us the story, what is wrong, and what it should say. We correct in place, note what changed, and do not quietly delete. You do not need to be the subject of the story to report an error.

A story

[email protected]

Confidential. If you need it to stay that way, say so in the first line and do not send from a work account. We do not publish a tipster’s name without their explicit agreement.

Everything else

If you hold rights to material you believe we have used incorrectly, write to the rights address with the story and the material. We would rather take it down and talk than argue first.

How we handle what you send

Messages are read by the newsroom. We do not sell or pass on contact details. A tip does not create an obligation to publish, and we will not tell you in advance whether we intend to.

Our sourcing, verification and correction standards are published in full in the Editorial Policy. How the bulletins are made is set out in About.
